Welcome to the Game review this is often more of an informational Post about all or any more details of Sifu, and what we all know so far.

Today we are going to look at Sifu, Sife is an action fighting game and this game was developed by the French studio sloclap.

Sifu Review: In this story, You play as a young martial art student whose family has been murdered and this is your quest for revenge as you hunt down the five assassins responsible.

Now, Each assassin has their own hideout which is themed around one of the five Chinese elements fire, earth, water, wood, and metal, and of course, they each have their own selection of goods for you to beat your way through and brutalize.

The combats that we’ve seen in each of the trailers for seafood looks very fluid and realistic it’s actually the thing that first caught my eye because sleeping dogs is one of my favorite games and this instantly reminded me of it in this game the protagonist is using the pacmae style of kung fu rather than random fighting techniques thrown together for the game you can parry enemy attacks but you only have a small parry window enemies will also power your attacks preventing you from landing more than a few hits unless you stun them first there are enemies that will throw heavy attacks at you which you can evade you can duck heavy attacks and jump over low attacks you can use objects from the environment in battle whether it be furniture, bottles, brooms, baseball bats, machetes, or just slam the enemies into the environment.

Sifu Review: Another thing, is the enemies don’t give off warning signs when they’re about to attack so you’re going to have to pay attention to the animations each opponent has a structure bar that will gradually fill when you land attacks and once filled will allow you to perform takedown moves the best way I can describe this is if you’ve played games like that you know the Batman Arkham series or even spiderman when you do a certain amount of combos.

You’ll be able to do a quick finisher it’s a sim it seems to be a similar sort of thing with this only that um with this one instead of building up the combos you’re building up the bar under each enemy before you can finish them off with a special attack.

Because of its intentional difficulty, you’re not going to be able to beat sifu by simply button-mashing your way through the game. Sifu includes over 150 attacks for you to work with and a lot of the moves will be unlocked as you play through the campaign now 150 moves are massive and you may end up knowing kung fu for real by the time you finish the game now to help you learn these attacks and combos there’s a training mode where you can test these moves against aspiring NPC and what I’ve seen this also includes using weapons.

2021 was the year of the roguelike games but now sifu has its own version of the roguelike formula every time you die your death is added to a death counter with the use of a magical pendant you’re able to be resurrected but this is where things get different when you’re resurrected you’ll start off from where you died but however many deaths are in your death counter will be added to your age the older you get the more powerful your attacks are but the frailer you’ll be with a smaller elf bub.

Certain enemies you beat will reduce your death counter but you won’t be able to turn back the time I mentioned that the pendants will bring you back to life but when the five medallions on the pendants are all broken its game over each medallion will also allow you to buy upgrades I noticed that there’s an option to permanently unlock upgrades and it looks like you’ll need to unlock them multiple times before this option is available presumably this will make those combos available when you start a new run similar to permanently infusing items in the def loop.

When your pendant does run out you’ll restart from the chapter you’re currently on rather than having to restart the entire game there’s a detective board that keeps track of your progress and information on your five targets as well as weapon locations and shortcuts this is to help you get back on track when starting a new run.

There’s not going to be a traditional difficulty setting like you would find in other action games this is because the difficulty is based around the live die age learn mechanics. I’m actually happy about this because lately there have been way too many people who will rush to beat the game on the easiest difficulty and then go straight to Twitter and talk about how short the game is well trying that with this game.

Sifu is a PlayStation console exclusive meaning it’s available on PS4 and PS5 and I haven’t heard anyone mention that it’s a timed exclusive so I don’t think I’ll be going to Xbox anytime soon.

On pc, it’s exclusive to the epic game store this game will definitely be best played with a controller whether Xbox controller or dual sense or dual shot controller but the game also works with keyboard and mouse I play on both PC and PS5 but I wouldn’t ever consider playing this game with a keyboard and mouse but if you got the skills go for it.

You can choose to play as either a male or female character at the moment there’s no news on whether you’ll be able to create your own character or not but I doubt it.

Sifu Review: Unlike slow cap’s previous game absolver sifu is a single-player only experience there’s currently no info on how long it will take to be at the game yet but it is designed to be replayed over and over again until you master it. So I’m guessing it’s going to keep you going for a while there are currently two editions of the game the standard edition which only includes the base game and this is 31.99 Dollars on the epic game store and 32.99 Dollars on PlayStation but includes both the PS4 and PS5 versions and then there’s the deluxe edition which is 35.99 dollars in the epic store and the same price on PlayStation for those who have ps plus this version includes the original soundtrack and digital artbook.

You’ll also get 48 hours early access if you pre-ordered this version of the game for PlayStation players who don’t mind waiting there will be a physical release arriving sometime in the spring for PS4 and PS5. This game will be released on Feb 8th for PC, PS4, and PS5. That’s all today and I hope you enjoy this game review. If you buy this game please consider my link below.

Did you by chance dictate the text into a speech recognition software? Things like that or the lack of punctuation make it seem that way.
