What is the story stray about?

Stray’s plot is straightforward. It’s about a cat who ends up in a dystopian world ruled by robots and tries to find his way back to his family. Stray is an adventure game played in the third person.

It is an open-world game emphasizing atmosphere, exploration, and aesthetics. The player takes control of a stray cat that falls into a world populated by robots and sets out to find his family. To advance the plot, they must solve puzzles such as shifting obstacles and traversing platforms.

The player is joined by a drone buddy named B12, who can help by translating robot language and storing objects discovered across the world. Zurks, who attack the player in swarms, is one of the game’s opponents.

The development team discovered that playing as a cat provided a fascinating level of design potential, particularly in terms of platforming and puzzle components. Miko, the company’s cat animator, researched various photographs and movies of cats; the majority of the crew also owns cats. Unreal Engine 4 is used in the game.

How about Gameplay?

In Stray, the cat’s purpose is to escape the walled cybercity it dwells in, and it will seek the assistance of a little drone named B-12 to do so. The flying robotic buddy, which can interact with technology and is won at some time in the game, is worn like a harness.

Stray Game Review: It functions as a lantern and a translator, talking with the city’s humanoid robots and assisting with fetch missions and errands. The cat will learn more about the planet and its inhabitants as a result of these quests. The cat can take up tiny objects with its jaws, such as a bucket, or use its paws to knock things off ledges, as cats are prone to doing.

During one of the demo’s puzzle-solving sequences, the cat pushed over paint cans from a roof ledge, destroying a glass enclosure and gaining entry to a new region.

What are the game features?

In Stray, players will take control of a solitary stray cat who has become separated from its family and must learn to traverse the dystopian-like city of Hong Kong in order to escape it. As you go through the city’s back alleyways, neon-lit avenues, and filthy underground spots, you discover secrets that help you solve the years-long mystery.

Stray Review: The game features open-world and exploration components, with you traveling various regions while avoiding the presence of robots patrolling the streets. The game draws heavily on sci-fi aspects; the surroundings are attractively crafted and brightly lit as a result of the variety of buildings and fixtures. In certain instances, the cat’s agility allows you to scale enormous rubbish bins and rooftops, allowing you to interact effortlessly and acquire fresh perspectives.

In addition, a flying droid, B-12, will provide much-needed direction and assistance as the two work together to collect things and evade a terrible foe known as the Zurks. Plenty of riddles will require either the cat’s or the droid’s expertise or teamwork to solve. Players can swap between characters to better suit the task at hand or to avoid colliding with pedestrians.

Can I Customize a Stray Cat?

Stray is somewhere between a futuristic survival game and a housecat simulator, with a dash of machine-powered dystopia thrown in for good measure. It’s a game about discovery and exploration, but largely about being a cat. And now for some quick facts about Stray.

The cat has no personalization options. The cat does not need to eat, drink, or sleep to survive, but it can do so because it is cute. There is no name for the cat. There are no laser-pointer mini-games available. Stray has no fall damage, therefore every jump is successful, and dying isn’t a primary mechanic.

How good are Stray graphics?

Stray Review: Our examination of the game was primarily focused on mechanics such as puzzle-solving and contextual leaping. Stray, on the other hand, is not a difficult platformer, but rather allows players to safely jump from platform to beam to air conditioner window unit to improvised gondolas without danger of plunging to one’s death.

At least one spectacular chase sequence was also teased, in which what appeared to be Half-Life headcrab larvae followed the cat through sewers. BlueTwelve Studios’ efforts to promote the ability to play as a cat in a video game feel unique and impressive. The main feline in Stray struts like a cat startles like a cat, cleans itself like a cat, and even gets the zoomies like a cat.

The ability to explore a 3D, semi-open world with the style and sass of a cat is an enormously appealing starting point for a game. The rest appears to be gravy. Wet food, if you’re a cat.
