Resident Evil Re Verse Review
Resident Evil Re Verse Review

Resident Evil Re Verse is a forthcoming multiplayer third-person shooter starring Resident Evil characters such as Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, Nemesis, Hunk, and Jack Baker. The players begin as human avatars and fight against other with traditional weapons and special skills.

After a human player dies, they can rebirth as a bioweapon, such as one of the Tyrants who hunted the main players, with much more powerful skills.

The Winters’ Expansion adds a third-person mode for Resident Evil Village, new characters for the game’s Mercenaries mode, and a chapter set after the events of the main game in which she explores the world within her own awareness and learns more about her talents.

Resident Evil Re Verse Gameplay

Resident Evil Re Verse Review: Re Verse is a third-person shooter with over-the-shoulder multiplayer action using Resident Evil characters. It is a 5-minute deathmatch between 4 to 6 players using weapons and various things scattered throughout the map.

Each character has their unique weapon loadout and skill set, but upon death, they can be changed into formidable Bioweapons that can be utilized against other players. Taking viral capsules found on the ground boosts the transformation’s effectiveness.

Your score rises with each kill, whether you perform it as a human or a bioweapon. The player with the most points at the end of each five-minute round wins. The only map that has been made public is a modified version of Raccoon City’s Police Department.

Each Human character has a unique set of abilities and weapon loadout. Humans killed evolve into strong Bioweapons that can turn the tide of combat, with players able to increase their Bioweapon transformation by obtaining Virus Capsules. After killing the Bioweapon, the player will respawn as a Human.

Resident Evil Re Verse Characters and Monsters

To win, six players compete in deathmatches in which they can mutate into various Resident Evil monsters. It honors the franchise’s history by allowing you to play as or against many of the series’ heroes, villains, and monsters.

Claire Redfield, Leon, Ada, Jill, Hunk, and Chris are the characters in the game. You can participate in four to six-person matches and transform them into powerful bioweapons.

When you remove your character, their body morphs into a potent bioweapon that you can employ against other players. Collect numerous Virus Capsules to evolve into even more powerful bioweapons.

Weapons

Each player starts each round with two weapons: a handgun with infinite ammo and a personal weapon. This fits the character, so Ada Wong arrives with a crossbow, while Leon. S. Kennedy carries a shotgun and Hunk his formidable assault weapon.

These have limited ammo that can be recharged by picking up items scattered across the game. There are enough of these that the pistol should only be used as a last resort; I seldom ran out of ammo.

There are also powerful, one-time-use weaponry scattered around the level, such as the Sparkshot, Rocket Launcher, and Chem Grenade Launcher.

Resident Evil Re Verse Multiplayer

Resident Evil Re Verse Review: Resident Evil Re Verse is a multiplayer PvP game that came with Resident Evil Village but received barely 10 seconds of screen time during Capcom’s Resident Evil Village showcase.

A multiplayer shooter feature is an odd choice for the series. Re: Verse appears to be a more traditional attempt at a multiplayer PvP option, which would have undoubtedly boosted users’ time spent with RE8.

Fighting with other Players

Instead of fighting zombies, Resident Evil Re: Verse allows you to compete with other gamers. When a player dies, their body morphs into a potent bioweapon, and the game centers around four to six-person revenge bouts. The objective is to accumulate the most points by the end of the game.

Famous Resident Evil locations, such as the Raccoon City Police Department, serve as arenas for a third-person shooter, and PvP bouts in Resident Evil Re: verse.

Resident Evil Re Verse Cross Platform

Resident Evil Re Verse will be released next month, however, CAPCOM has been tight-lipped on Cross-Play support, thus Cross Platform Multiplayer may not be available at launch.

Resident Evil Re: Verse will be released next month, however, the devs have yet to confirm Cross-Save functionality. As a result, Cross Progression may not be supported in Resident Evil Re: Verse at launch.

Unfortunately, Resident Evil Re Verse does not allow a Co-op Campaign because it does not support story mode.

Resident Evil Re Verse will be released on October 28, 2022, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. And also available on steam.
