Dungeon Defenders Awakened

The Dungeon Defenders series is making a triumphant return with Dungeon Defenders: Legends. Awakened is a co-op Tower Defense game featuring epic Action RPG action by Chromatic Games. Team up with four other men to fight against an endless army of orcs, demons, and dragons. The past has been tampered with! As you level up, claim legendary riches, and take on the legions of foes that await you! Choose your hero and build an epic defense to repel hordes of attackers as you enter the fray to safeguard Etheria.

Dungeon Defenders Awakened PS4 Gameplay

Dungeon Defenders: Awakened allows players to level up their characters and customize them to fit their preferred playstyle to overcome the game’s rising difficulties. Every essential feature from the PC version of Dungeon Defenders: Awakened before the Lycan’s Keep update is present in the Nintendo Switch port, including five heroes, varying difficulties, maps, and five game modes that can be played alone or in multiplayer. There are presently five heroes from which to choose. The Apprentice is a wizard who has authority over various magical towers and ranged attacks. The Squire is a knight who defends himself with blockades, turrets, and physical attacks. The Huntress is a ranger who employs a variety of traps and rapid, ranged strikes.

The monk is a versatile hero who uses auras to help teammates or structures and possesses quick physical attacks. Finally, there’s Series EV-A, a robot with beams and devastating ranged weapons. In typical RPG tradition, players can allocate points to give their hero a more unique focus when the heroes level up. Depending on the player’s preference, a full attack Monk, a full aura support Monk, or even a hybrid is easily obtained. Respecting heroes is straightforward, so you’re never stuck with a single option, which is useful when playing with buddies who require a specific hero type or if you want to try out alternative builds.

Dungeon Defenders Awakened PS4 Map & Mission

In addition, players receive access to a range of goods that drop during enemy waves. The goods can be combined with specific builds, providing players more possibilities for customizing their heroes. There is always a meta to which heroes try to bring maps to assure success in any game. Still, with the multiplicity of build choices, most casual players will likely see various characters throughout their time with Dungeon Defenders: Awakened. While Dungeon Defenders: Awakened is designed for four-player multiplayer, it can also be enjoyed alone. Players can use the skills of multiple heroes to prepare for each wave thanks to the option to hero change during the build phase.

A player can, for example, utilize the Series EV-A to plant beams on the ground, the Apprentice to create ranged towers, and the Squire to place blockades, then switch to the Huntress during the battle phase to deal massive damage while repairing and upgrading structures. Furthermore, the heroes share experience, so as long as you have them in your hero deck, they should all scale together as the maps become more complex. Furthermore, Dungeon Defenders: Awakened does not restrict the development of the same heroes, so someone might take an entire team of Squires, each with a different emphasis, and still be successful.

Dungeon Defenders Awakened PS4 Graphics & Visuals

If you’ve ever played a port of a PC game, you’ll know that most don’t have the best track record. Buggy mechanics, degraded graphics, and poor control capability, among other drawbacks, may turn a fantastic game into an unplayable nightmare in the port. Thankfully, the Nintendo Switch port of Dungeon Defenders: Awakened avoids many of these flaws. While Dungeon Defenders: Awakened is designed for four-player multiplayer, it can also be enjoyed alone. Players can use the skills of multiple heroes to prepare for each wave thanks to the option to hero change during the build phase.
