The Tour de France 2022 commemorates the return of the world’s third-most-followed tournament this year, with 14,000 kilometers of racing across four different countries. Tadej Pogaar, Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert, Primo Rogli, and David Gaudu are among the world’s top cyclists eligible to race with players in the game’s 92 cycling stages.

You begin at the lowest levels and must prove yourself to gain invitations to high-profile races from organizers. Create your tour using My Tour mode and the 92 available stages.
Tour De France 2022 Game Gameplay
Tour de France 2022 includes a new Race of the Moment option that, for the first time, allows you to compare yourself to virtual cyclists from across the world. Every week, competitive gamers can take part in a new challenge. Players must, for example, lead a specific team to win, complete a specified goal, gain as many points as possible in a mountain stage, or just reach the top of the leaderboard.
Every week, the weekly achievements of all players are recorded on an online scoreboard, from which a winner is selected.
Tour De France 2022 Game Review: Players earn additional points based on their finishing places; these points count toward monthly and annual rankings, and the most significant results are recognized with badges. In this mode, the difficulty level is the same for all participants, and it is impossible to save progress or bring in substitutes in the middle of a stage. To defeat their opponents, players must carefully plan their approach.
Tour De France 2022 Game Team Management & Leaderboard
Tour de France 2022 introduces the all-new Race of the Moment mode, in which players may compare their results in rated weekly challenges online with others.
The new official Tour de France course for 2022: players can race around France as in previous years, starting this year in Denmark. The game includes all 21 official new stages, beginning with a time trial in Copenhagen, followed by Lille Métropole – Arenberg Porte du Hainaut and its cobbled sections, the renowned Hautacam climb in the 18th stage, and the final flat stage on Paris’ famous Avenue des Champs-Elysées.
More diverse racing scenarios: the game’s artificial intelligence now provides a broader range of better-adapted behaviors to races and events. Players will have more early breakaways and better teamwork in breakaways.
The Primavera Classic is a new classic inspired by a legendary Italian race.
The Eolo-Kometa Cycling Team, Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, and Uno-X Pro Cycling Team are new playable teams.
Race incidents: players can now enable or disable falls and sickness and select the frequency when they are allowed. The seriousness of the occurrence determines the consequences.
Race preparation: this innovative system chooses five cyclists at random to be well prepared and five others who may underperform. This motivates players to keep a close eye on their opponents and squad.
More realistic cobbled sections: the user interface shudders when racing on these tricky sections, exactly as cyclists do in real life. The Arenberg trench has never been experienced like this before by the players.
Tour De France 2022 Game Maps
The route is not designed for sprinters, instead emphasizing summit finishes and a return to the iconic Paris-Roubaix cobblestones. The Tour will begin with a 13-kilometer time trial in Copenhagen before returning to France’s north shore and winding down the country’s west coast, passing through Belgium, Luxembourg, and Switzerland along the route.
The race will traverse the Alps and Pyrenees mountains, with a summit finish on Alpe d’Huez, before culminating with a 40-kilometer time trial and the customary Parisian finish.
The bone-shaking cobblestones of the Paris-Roubaix will be included for the first time since 2018, with approximately 20 km of sections, some of which have never been used before in either the Tour or the Paris-Roubaix. This year’s participants will go 3,328 kilometers (2,068 miles) on their cycles over 21 stages.
Tour De France 2022 Game Multiplayer
Couch and Online Co-op Multiplayer are not included in Tour de France 2022. Unfortunately, the Tour de France 2022 does not feature Couch (Shared / Screen) or Online PVP Multiplayer. Although the game has an online option, information on Steam indicates that it only has a single-player mode.
The new online mode only allows racers to compare their scores in ranked weekly challenges with other racers. Therefore PVP competition against other racers is not possible.
Tour De France 2022 Game Graphics & Visuals
About 200 riders saddle up and race across a 2,000-mile, 21-stage itinerary every year. Except for a few break days, it’s a non-stop marathon that tests competitors and their carbon bicycles to their limits. Lung-busting alpine climbs are interspersed with lethal descents and sprints. Riders routinely collide, damaging bones and bending bike frames.
Only the fittest, sharpest, and luckiest athletes have a chance of taking home the tour’s coveted yellow jersey. The aesthetics are the most problematic. Said, the game appears to have been designed for PS3 hardware. The structures are boxy and oddly perfect, with no signs of aging or anyone living in them.
I saw six or seven designs replicated every 30 kilometers with slight changes, such as a TV aerial in the back or an extra skylight on the roof. The onlookers have a limited number of animations and will robotically slide back if your bike goes too close.
Tour De France 2022 Game Review: The riders are as terrible as the scenery. They appear to be correct from a distance, with vibrant jerseys and slim, muscular physiques, they’re all remarkably similar. For example, every rider has the same face, with just minor differences in height, body mass, or skin tone.
That’s a dilemma given the tour’s increasing diversity — Colombian climber Nairo Quintana, for example, bears no resemblance to British contender Geraint Thomas or Italian great Vincenzo Nibali. Without consulting the game’s on-screen name labels, it’s hard to know which rider is sneaking past you at each stage.
Tour De France 2022 Release date
